The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) establishes a new EU-wide legal framework for packaging and packaging waste. It will come into effect on 12 August 2026. The regulation covers the entire life cycle of packaging and will be directly applicable in all member states. While road freight is less affected than other logistics sectors, new requirements are emerging in certain areas – for DHL Freight and our customers.
