Last weekend at AERO Friedrichshafen, our colleague and pilot Maria Friedrich took the stage as a panelist at Elevate(her) Aviation – and we couldn’t be prouder.   The panel under the theme “Courageous, Visible, Confident – Women in Aviation and Their Stories” brought together diverse voices from across aviation to discuss the role of women in an evolving industry. Moderated by Raja Katz, Elevate(her) Germany Lead, the discussion focused on personal career journeys, motivation, challenges, and the structural barriers that still exist - as well as the opportunities ahead for the next generation.   Alongside Sana Jumah, the first Syrian glider pilot in modern aviation, and Julianna Denise Malewo, Apron Controller at Munich Airport International, Mia shared her perspective as a cargo pilot and former flight attendant. Together, the panel reflected the true diversity of aviation - from gliding and airline operations to airport ground services.   We are incredibly proud to have Mia as part of our team: a skilled pilot, a passionate advocate, and a role model who actively contributes to greater visibility and inclusion in aviation.
