Damit hat er sich den Hauptgewinn beim DFS-Preisausschreiben auf der ILA Berlin - Pioneering Aerospace gesichert: Einen Besuch mit Begleitung im Tower Berlin.   Diese Woche war es so weit. Zusammen mit seinem Kollegen Dominic Albrecht hat sich der 31-Jährige auf den Weg zum #BER gemacht. In ihrer Freizeit sind die beiden U-Bahnfahrer schon seit über 20 Jahren begeisterte Flugsimulator-Piloten. So bot sich ihnen in 72 Metern Höhe nicht nur eine spektakuläre Aussicht über den Hauptstadtflughafen, sondern auch ein spannender Blick hinter die Kulissen. „Ich könnte stundenlang hier sitzen und den Lotsen über die Schulter schauen. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen und unvergesslichen Tag.“   Fast wäre es gar nicht dazu gekommen, dass sie beim Preisausschreiben mit gemacht haben. „Eigentlich waren wir auf der ILA schon auf dem Heimweg, aber Dustin wollte unbedingt noch zum DFS-Stand. As the winner of the DFS raffle at this year’s ILA, he secured a unique behind-the-scenes experience at Berlin Tower. This week, the day finally arrived. Together with his colleague Dominic Albrecht, the 31-year-old headed to BER Airport. In their spare time, the two underground train drivers have been passionate flight simulator enthusiasts for more than 20 years, making the visit an especially exciting experience. From 72 meters above the ground, they enjoyed not only spectacular views across Germany’s capital airport but also fascinating insights into the world of air traffic control. “I could sit here for hours watching the controllers at work. Thank you for this amazing and unforgettable day.” As it turns out, they almost missed their chance to enter the raffle. “We were actually on our way home from the ILA, but Dustin really wanted to stop by the DFS booth.
