55 years and his body is still untraced. He earned himself a unique name 'The Sabre Slayer'. His bravery and skill, against odds of 1 to 6, earned him India’s highest wartime medal for gallantry, the “ParamVir Chakra”. To this date, he remains the first and the only Airforce Officer to have earned India's highest gallantry award, Paramvir Chakra. Remembering the bravest of the brave and one of the greatest air warriors of all time, Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon on his 81st Birthday today. Know your heroes !!
