A lot of projects simply were not accepted by GSoC itself, so the decision was never fully about you. Not everything is in our control, and there is always good in what happens even when we cannot see it yet. What matters is that you went deep. You read codebases, opened pull requests, talked to maintainers. That does not go away when the selection window closes. Keep going. This community is proud of all 14 who made it, and equally proud of every fellow who showed up and tried. None of this would have happened without the people who showed up behind the scenes.
