Under the dynamic leadership of Hugues Bourgogne, EVP Operations, Projects and Infrastructure, our manufacturing team has brought excellent focus and also delivery to our operations — enhancing efficiency and reliability very significantly and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all sites. This strengthened foundation is essential as VARO prepares to operate on a larger scale following the acquisition of Preem (subject to regulatory approvals), bringing new assets, capabilities, and opportunities across our company. This past year, we have seen significant progress: - Strengthened safety culture and delivered measurable HSE improvements. - Upgraded our Fuels Value Chain optimisation processes to unlock customer and shareholder value. - Achieved strong and optimised performance at our Cressier refinery. - Supported foundational performance improvement in our German manufacturing in Vohburg and Neustadt. - Completed a transformational expansion in Coevorden to create a leading scale biogas manufacturing presence in Europe. - Enhanced our terminals organisation to better support growth and diversification. - Step change in our Operating Excellence Management System (OEMS) for improved risk and opportunity management in a growing and diverse manufacturing landscape.
