Only One Week to Go: Get Ready for RSMSE 2026 From 23 to 25 June 2026, the residual stress community will meet in Kassel and online for three days of scientific exchange, technical discussion, and networking. The symposium will focus on current advances in residual-stress research and engineering, including how residual stresses evolve, how they can be quantified, and how they can be managed to improve component performance, reliability, and lifetime. Participants can look forward to plenary lectures, research presentations, three-minute poster pitches, and the Poster Evening on 23 June 2026. The event platform also allows all conference participants to vote for the Poster Award, with the winning posters honored during the closing session. RSMSE 2026 is chaired by Dr.-Ing. Jens Gibmeier, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Niendorf, University of Kassel.
