#outnow: DETAIL 6.2026: The Art of the Joint >> https://lnkd.in/d82JeVfj To mark its 65th anniversary, Detail dedicates this issue to the "art of the joint" – an homage to Bach's The Art of Fugue – as a symbol of precision, clarity, and beauty through appropriateness. At its heart: the new Detail Construction Award. From over 300 submissions, the most intelligent construction solutions were recognised across five categories (adaptive reuse, roof, facade, supporting structures, interiors), all documented with drawings at 1:20. Accompanying this, leading architects including Selldorf, Menges, Ghotmeh, and Mandrup share their perspectives – united by a common thread: the detail is not an end in itself, but – as with Schelling's "frozen music" – the first note of a composition that, at its best, reaches to the very depths of what it means to be human.
