Proof-of-Concept grant for pureWAVE. Sounds like wellness? Kind of: this is for a new technology approach to limit noise that affects performance in communication and sensing applications by using systems which rely on photonic integrated circuits – chips that guide and process light rather than electrical current. The team around our colleague Tobias Herr aims to overcome current limitations of this technology, such as the requirement of a lot of bulky equipment around the tiny chip and implement the technology entirely on a scalable photonic chip platform. The vision: develop a scalable technology to advance telecommunications, autonomous mobility technologies and high-performance data infrastructure. Read more: https://lnkd.in/degWfGtt
