How can Europe build a stronger and more connected research infrastructure ecosystem? This question brought policymakers, infrastructure leaders, industry representatives and researchers together in Brussels for the joint launch of three Horizon Europe projects: FUND-RI, Access2Access and COORDINA-INNOV. Opening remarks by Michael Arentoft (European Commission) and a panel featuring Catherine Berens (ERC), Inmaculada Figueroa (Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities), Bonnie Dr. Wolff-Boenisch (CESSDA ERIC) and Bernhard Schwarz (ZEISS Microscopy) highlighted a shared message: Europe already has world-class infrastructures. The challenge is to connect them more effectively across funding, access and innovation.
