We’re proud to share that the Gold Coast Airport Existing Terminal Retail and Operational Optimisation project has won the Commercial Fitout ($5M–$10M) category at the Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards. This transformation redefines the terminal experience with a refreshed retail precinct, expanded food and beverage offerings, and a reimagined departures hall designed for comfort, clarity, and flow. The new layout improves passenger circulation, introduces modern seating, and enhances wayfinding – making every journey through GCA more seamless and enjoyable. The project was delivered in a live terminal environment, with phased construction and close collaboration between Gold Coast Airport, SHAPE Australia and the design team ensuring minimal disruption.
