Proud parent moment on Friday as Kodi Garriock graduated from The Glasgow School of Art, School of Innovation & Technology with First Class Honours in Product Design. Over the past four years, Kodi has developed into a thoughtful, creative and highly collaborative designer, combining research, product thinking and service design to tackle complex human challenges. Her final-year project explored how education could recognise learning beyond grades, helping young people capture the skills and experiences that traditional assessment often overlooks. She was also awarded the School of Innovation & Technology’s Innovation Design Collaborative Practice Prize, recognising her exceptional commitment to engagement and collaboration. Kodi is now building her professional network as she takes her first steps into product design, UX research and service design. I know many people in my network work across innovation, design and customer experience, so I would be grateful if you would connect with her, follow her work, or keep her in mind for relevant opportunities. We could not be prouder of everything she has achieved, and we are excited to see where she takes her talent next. Congratulations, Kodi. A First Class degree, thoroughly deserved.
