Last week, our Infrastructure Delivery Group, incorporating Partnerships Victoria, hosted the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Contract Managers Forum, bringing together 130 professionals from across Victorian government departments and delivery agencies. Under the theme ‘Shifting gears: Managing critical transitions through the PPP lifecycle’, the forum explored 3 key stages of transition: • Transitioning in – new developments in Whole of Life procurement requirements and opportunities in new sectors, with practical application to housing precincts. • Transitioning through – setting up for success as major projects move from construction into operations, featuring insights from some of Victoria’s most significant infrastructure projects. • Transitioning beyond – navigating through the PPP end of term with practical application to the delivery of the County Court project. Guest speakers shared reflections on projects, practical lessons learned, and the approaches making a difference across the lifecycle. Beyond the presentations, the forum created space for connection – to share ideas, work through common challenges, and strengthen relationships that underpin successful PPPs. The experience in the room was one of the most valuable resources on show – and it was a reminder of how much knowledge and capability exists across the Victorian government infrastructure community. Thank you to Natasha Payze, Executive Director, Infrastructure Delivery Group, and David Noble, Director and Head of Partnerships Victoria, for hosting this event, and Sarah Black, Caitlin Damilatis, Kiara C., Justin Penwill, Joshua Handley, and Ashish Mathew for facilitating arrangements.
