Team DSDIP laced up their sneakers, braved the predawn chill and hit the pavement in the 2026 Darkness to Daylight Challenge. Each May, Queensland marks Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Prevention Month. This annual initiative aims to raise awareness of domestic and family violence and coercive control. It’s an opportunity to highlight the support services available and send a clear message that violence in our communities will not be tolerated. As a participant noted, ‘This is a very visible and tangible part of our department’s commitment to safety, wellbeing and respectful workplaces, so we are proud to be sponsoring and participating in the Darkness to Daylight Challenge 2026.’ Congratulations to all who participated and raised funds for this vital initiative.
