We were over the moon to have astronaut and Australian of the Year Katherine Bennell-Pegg touchdown in Victoria for a week-long visit. 👩‍🚀🚀 The nation's first astronaut met with primary, secondary and tertiary students to inspire them to pursue a career in STEM. Katherine also joined leaders from government, industry and academia at the Victorian Government’s Space Industry Breakfast. The event explored ways to grow Victoria’s space sector and global partnerships. Victoria plays a significant role in Australia’s fast-growing space industry. We are home to around 250 space-related businesses, generating approximately $400 million each year. Thanks to the Australian Space Agency for partnering with us to highlight the strength of Victoria’s space industry. #Space #SpaceIndustry #Astronaut #STEM #AustralianOfTheYear European Space Agency - ESA Department of Industry, Science and Resources Victorian Space Science Education Centre VSSEC Wyndham Tech School RMIT University Monash University Swinburne University of Technology Photos 1 to 3 from Darren Keane
