Victoria will be home to the new Renewable Energy TAFE Centre of Excellence. The centre will be a national leader in training to support the future of renewable energy. It will provide: • training with renewable energy equipment • virtual reality technology to simulate real-life situations • digitally enabled classrooms • industry-responsive training programs. TAFE Gippsland will lead a consortium of TAFEs to deliver the Centre of Excellence. It will be embedded in campuses across Victoria. The consortium includes South West TAFE, Holmesglen Institute and Federation TAFE. We’re making sure our skilled workforce is ready to support Victoria’s transition to a clean economy. The Victorian Government and Australian Government are jointly investing $50 million in this initiative.
