Our new sporting complex in Armstrong Creek has a new name: Tarratarra Stadium. This is the official name gifted by Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation for our new sporting complex in Armstrong Creek. Pronounced TAR-RA-TA-RA, the name translates to ‘many wings’ and was inspired by the Red Gum Ghost Moth, which visited Wadawurrung Woman Corrina Eccles along Armstrong Creek. The moth motif will be reflected throughout the facility’s design, including the façade, internal wall linings and signage. Tarratarra Stadium is 1 of 3 projects in the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program in the Geelong region. It is scheduled to be completed in late 2026.
