New scholarships are available for teaching in adult and community education. Our ACE Scholarships Program helps current and prospective Learn Local teachers to boost their language, literacy and numeracy teaching skills. Why is this important? 1 in 3 Victorians has a low level of literacy that makes it difficult to find and keep work. So, Victoria needs more teachers who can help people develop their foundation skills. We’re offering help with course fees and other expenses such as books, internet and the cost of living. Scholarships range from $500 to $20,000. They cover courses and qualifications offered online and at: • Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre • Chisholm Institute • Charles Sturt University • Victoria University.
