It was another actioned packed Easter weekend in Stawell with the running of the 144th Stawell Gift. This is Australia’s oldest and richest footrace! US sprinting superstar Sha‘Carri Richardson lived up to the hype winning the Women’s Gift. Australian Olufemi Komolafe claimed victory in the Men’s Gift. It topped of a huge weekend of fun on and off the track. With a massive crowd at Central Park and more than 1.5 million people tuning in on Seven Network, the Grampians was again showcased to a massive audience. As a key highlight on Victoria’s major events calendar every year, events like the Stawell Gift help make up the state’s $3.3 billion visitor economy.
