World Immunisation Week highlights global efforts to reduce the impact of vaccine preventable diseases. During this week we acknowledge the work of Dr David Khoury from the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. Dr Khoury received the 2025 Frank Fenner Prize for Life Scientist of the Year. The award recognises his work translating immune response data into guidance for vaccine policy, and to help inform treatment decisions. His work has informed national and international immunisation approaches for COVID 19 and mpox. It has also supported advances in malaria drug development. 🔗 Read more about Dr Khoury’s work http://spklr.io/6048EKp3y #WorldImmunisationWeek #PMPrizes, World Health Organization The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science are a key part of the Inspiring Australia - Science Engagement Program.
