I've apparently entered the cockroach phase of my artistic journey. 🪳🎨 My latest mixed media artwork, Understated Elegance, is now on display in the Small Works Exhibition at the Lewisville Grand Theater. The piece began with vintage wallpaper from a historic McKinney estate sale, a gifted Victorian-style frame, and a cardboard cockroach. It nearly ended when I dropped the artwork and broke the frame while photographing it on the night it was due! Fortunately, a dried flower I had saved (because, yes... I save everything) became the perfect solution and ended up becoming part of the finished piece.
