DA highlights medicine shortages putting patients at risk at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital. Madeleine Hicklin MPL, DA Spokesperson for Health, raised concerns over ongoing shortages of essential medicines at the hospital. Patients with serious infections are missing critical doses, increasing the risk of complications and potentially life-threatening outcomes. While management claims substitutes are being used, patients and families report being unable to access essential antibiotics. The Democratic Alliance calls on MEC Faith Mazibuko to urgently intervene and be transparent with the public about the extent of the problem.
