Five years ago, "can IT build this?" was a one-answer question.๏ปฟ In 2026, for a PM running an enterprise cplace implementation, the answer is at least six options long: ๏ปฟ ๐น ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ข๐ ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, when the cplace model already supports the request.ย ๐น A ๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ญ or a ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ, for fast iteration on contained logic.ย ๐น A proper ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, when the capability needs to scale and survive upgrades.ย ๐น A ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ cplace,ย when performance or independence demand it. ๐น Waiting for the ๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ ๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฉ,ย when the need is not yet urgent. ๐น Redirecting to a ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐ ๐, or doing without entirely. AI is now making most of these paths faster and cheaper to execute, which means more of them get chosen. Each path carries a very different cost across the next five years. The PMs who handle this well are the ones who treat every request as a decision with long-term consequences, rather than as a ticket waiting to be picked up. That is exactly where we at demicon, as specialist cplace partners, do our best work. ๐ More on the pattern below and connect with Maren Meyer for more information. #demicon #cplace #ppm #projectdelivery #programmanagement
