Good things come in pairs. Today, DEME held the naming ceremony of its new jack-up offshore transport & installation vessel, Norse Energi, at its base in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Following the recent naming of sister vessel Norse Wind, this powerful next-generation duo strengthens DEME’s offshore fleet. Norse Energi features a 3,200‑ton crane with advanced hybrid energy systems, purpose-built for transporting and installing the next generation of offshore wind turbines and XXL monopiles. Norse Energi will soon set sail for offshore wind farm projects in the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, including Windanker in Germany and Hornsea 3 in the UK.
