We were pleased to welcome our shareholders to Demant’s headquarters in Smørum for our Annual General Meeting. As per tradition, the meeting is an opportunity to present the Group's development in the year that passed, including key strategic milestones such as the acquisition of KIND and the launch of #OticonZeal. This time, the AGM also marked an important transition for Demant’s Board of Directors. We said goodbye to Niels B. Christiansen after 18 years of dedicated service on Demant’s Board, the last nine as Chair. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and service throughout his tenure. In his final address to Demant shareholders, Niels highlighted: “For almost two decades, I have had the pleasure of following Demant’s development closely – a journey marked by significant growth and value creation, continuous innovation and an unwavering focus on improving the lives of people with hearing loss." Following the AGM, the Board appointed Kristian Villumsen as the new Chair. Kristian, who has been a member of Demant’s Board since 2021, brings deep insights into the healthcare industry and extensive international leadership experience from executive management and board positions. The general assembly also elected Thomas Hofman-Bang as a new member of the Board of Directors. Thomas adds international leadership experience and a strong background in accounting and manufacturing companies. Welcome on board, Thomas!
