[𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬] 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 In 1902, the Demant family posed for a formal photograph - unaware that only two years later, hearing aids would become a defining part of their story and the beginning of Demant. At the time, Camilla Louise lived with hearing difficulties. Wanting to support her, her husband Hans Jørgen Demant travelled to London to bring home a new electric hearing aid. The change it brought to Camilla’s life spread quickly, and soon others approached him for the same help. On 8 June 1904, he became the sole agent for General Acoustic in Denmark. This marked the start of a journey that still shapes our purpose today: improving life for people with hearing difficulties.
