Bringing disciplines together is one thing — structuring how they work in practice is where it gets interesting. At the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) Europe Congress in Luleå, Deltares-expert Negar Moghtaderi contributed with 2 pieces of work that approach this challenge from different angles:   💠 Integrated design for public space: climate adaptation and spatial quality in ‘Het Hogeland’ - This contribution focuses on structuring how we move from analysis to design and implementation. Using the ‘Het Hogeland’ case, it presents an integrative and design-oriented methodology that helps make trade-offs explicit and supports interdisciplinary decision-making.   💠Urban resilience through hybrid measures: strategies for stormwater management - This work explores how engineered and Nature-based Solutions are combined in urban settings. Hybrid measures are already widely used in practice, but the research shows that we still lack integrated ways to assess their combined performance and broader value.   They show that beyond developing knowledge, there is a need for approaches that are integrated, connecting disciplines, structuring decisions, and supporting real-world application.   If you are interested in the work or would like to explore collaboration opportunities, feel free to get in contact with Negar Moghtaderi ([email protected]).   #EnablingDeltaLife #IAHR #ClimateAdaptation
