EU🌍 How can we obtain a more consistent, cross-border picture of water quality across Europe? Through the European Horizon OASIS Project, led by Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) - Suomen ympäristökeskus (Syke) Deltares is working with international partners on innovative solutions using AI, satellite data and water models. OASIS technologies will also be applied in selected catchments and lakes in Asia, South America and Africa, for upscaling and knowledge exchange. Deltares plays a key role in the project as co‑leader of the Integrated Solutions for the Management of Aquatic Ecosystems work package, translating scientific innovations into practical applications for water managers and policymakers. 🛰️Satellite-based maps in support of the Water Framework Directive. 📡Further application of AlgaeRadar for cyanobacteria forecasting. 🌱AI models for seagrass distribution maps as indicators of biodiversity.
