The new UNICEF Children’s Climate Risk Report 2026 highlights a clear reality: climate risks for children are increasing dramatically. Almost all children worldwide are exposed to at least one climate-related risk, and more than 1.1 billion children are exposed to several at the same time. Extreme heat, floods, droughts, and air pollution not only affect the environment, but also directly impact the health, education, nutrition, and future opportunities of children and communities. Children are among the groups most vulnerable to climate risks, especially in places where access to basic necessities is limited. DEKRA is partnering with UNICEF Deutschland as part of the DEKRA Climate Impact Program to support children and their communities in regions particularly affected by climate change and to strengthen their resilience. Our goal is: 🔹to improve access to basic needs through various measures 🔹thereby strengthen resilience 🔹and, as a result, protect children in the long term and secure their future prospects. The partnership with UNICEF demonstrates how important it is to tackle global challenges together - based on data, expertise, and concrete actions on the ground.
