When a nation chooses to manufacture its own solutions, it begins to shape its own future and last week, Uganda took a decisive step into that future. We AT DEI BioPharma Ltd were honoured to host H.E. President Yoweri Museveni , the First Lady, and senior government leaders at the Dei BioPharma Advanced Agro-Processing & Biotech Park in Namasagali, Kamuli. During the visit, the President officially commissioned our USD 50 million cassava starch facility, a first-of-its-kind plant with a capacity of 500 metric tons per day, producing pharmaceutical-grade starch, glucose, maltose, and multiple industrial derivatives. This milestone marks Phase 1 of our USD 10 billion vision to build Africa’s most advanced biotech and agro-industrial ecosystem, including: • 1,000-bed specialist hospital • Foot & Mouth Disease vaccine facility (100M doses/year) • API & excipient manufacturing campus • A network of 3,000+ contracted cassava farmers • Full value-addition from crop to finished pharmaceutical product President Museveni emphasized the importance of supporting innovators instead of resisting new ideas — a message that strongly echoes our mission. At Dei BioPharma, we believe: A self-reliant Uganda is built through science, manufacturing, and the courage to innovate. What we are building is not just for today, but for generations. 👍 A stronger Uganda. A more resilient Africa. The future of African biotech is being built right here at home Dr Matthias Magoola #DeiBioPharma #Uganda #Kamuli #Busoga #Biotech #AfricanInnovation #Industrialisation #AgroProcessing #PharmaAfrica #ManufacturingAfrica #ScienceInAfrica #ValueAddition #AfricaRising #SickleCellCare #Vaccines #APIs #Excipients #PresidentMuseveni #Innovation
