Shaping the future of autonomous flight Within the Defence Science and Technology Group, Aerial Systems Autonomy develops and tests uncrewed aerial system capabilities, including aircraft, payloads and control algorithms, that can deliver coordinated, autonomous, multi-aircraft behaviours and mission concepts – directly informing future Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACPs). At Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025, the Bask AeroDrone MR4, an Australian-made quadrotor uncrewed aerial system, was augmented with DSTG payloads and control algorithms, replicating real drone threats to train Australian & International forces in defending against emerging technologies. #YourADF
