The initiative aimed at developing the world’s first continuous production process for bio-based aniline. Why does this matter? Aniline is a critical raw precursor to methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) a vital building block to PU synthesis. With fossil-based production of anilin currently generates ~20 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, this project represents a significant step toward industrial decarbonization.
