For those of you who follow me, youโll probably know by now where I stand on the market becoming increasingly consolidated. In a recent post, someone messaged me saying, โThe top players only hold a small percentage of volumes.โ And yes - that number is 35%. It may not sound huge at first glance, and if Iโm honest, it surprised me a little too. But that isnโt really the point. The point is this: today itโs 35%. Next year it may be 36%. Then 37%. Then 38%. I think you see where Iโm going with this. The market needs more competition. Customers need more agility/options. Graphs like this may look harmless at first glance, but theyโre a clear sign of where things are heading. And before anyone comments that DSV has acquired Schenker - I know. The graph is a little old. ๐ #Airfreight #FreightForwarding #Logistics #SupplyChain #GlobalTrade #AirCargo #Freight #LogisticsIndustry #MarketConsolidation
