Speed doesn’t create alignment...It reveals it. Most leadership teams think alignment holds under speed. It doesn’t. Speed exposes whether alignment was ever there to begin with. So what does aligned actually look like when velocity increases? It’s not consensus. It’s not more communication. It’s not more data. It’s this: The same signal enters the system —and is interpreted the same way across leadership. Decizns are made quickly —but with shared understanding at the point of origin. Execution doesn’t compensate downstream because it doesn’t need to. There’s no rework loop. No silent correction layer. No drift between intent and action. That’s alignment. And under pressure, it becomes obvious: If interpretation varies → alignment was never there If execution compensates → the decizn wasn’t calibrated If results drift → the loop is already breaking Most organizations don’t see this. They try to fix outcomes instead of stabilizing the loop producing them. So they add: More KPIs More dashboards More communication layers Without ever confirming whether leadership is actually aligned at the moment the decizn is made. That’s the gap. Not visibility — alignment at the point of decizn under speed. Very few organizations are operating this way. The diagnostic shows where alignment breaks before the decizn is made.
