As the Debswana World Athletics Relays Gaborone 2026 come to a close, we are proud to have been part of a global event that showcased the very best of Botswana—on and off the track. From a heart‑warming opening ceremony and the establishment of a new diamond gallery in Botswana, both of which De Beers was honoured to support, to unforgettable moments of sporting excellence, the relays reflected the spirit, talent and pride of the nation.     One of the highlights was celebrating Letsile Tebogo, one of the world’s most exciting athletes, competing on home soil. Complementing his standout presence during the event, he wore a bespoke pendant featuring a 2-carat Forevermark natural diamond sourced from Botswana.
