Growing up in Zimbabwe, Dr Agnes Mukurumbira (Ph.D.) witnessed the realities of food insecurity and foodborne illness firsthand. Those experiences shaped her and led her to science, driven not just by curiosity but by a desire to create change.    Through her research in antimicrobial packaging, Agnes is tackling a staggering global challenge, where billions of tonnes of food are lost each year and millions fall ill from contaminated food.    Today, she is working on something powerful.
