🚧 Grid bottlenecks are no longer avoidable Since yesterday, large parts of Utrecht region are no longer able to accommodate new or heavier grid connections. New applications are being placed on waiting lists as network operators work to prevent overloads and maintain grid reliability.  Grid congestion has become a real constraint on growth, and this is not just a local issue. It’s a preview of what’s happening across the Netherlands, and increasingly across Europe.  As electrification accelerates, demand for grid capacity is growing faster than network expansion in many regions. 👉 The takeaway is clear: an electrified society cannot rely solely on a centralized, overstretched grid. The way forward is to rethink our electrical architecture. Hybrid AC/DC systems are a key part of the answer - enabling less dependency on the grid and more flexibility in how energy is produced, distributed, and used. At Schneider Electric, we drive this transition by supporting the adoption of hybrid AC/DC architecture worldwide, accelerating the path toward more efficient, resilient, and sustainable buildings. #GridCongestion #AdvancingEnergyTech #HybridACDC #EnergyTransition -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------    DC Systems is a Schneider Electric company, a global leader in energy technology. By combining Schneider Electric's vision for the future of electrical distribution with DC Systems’ technical know-how, we help deliver hybrid AC/DC solutions that are resilient, simplified, and sustainable.
