🚀 Proud to be part of a DC-powered building project with Nexans We’re excited to have contributed to the transformation of Nexans’ AmpaCity R&D facility in Lyon, where three rooms are now fully powered by a DC microgrid. From USB-C powered workstations and efficient lighting systems, to a 14.4 kWh battery storage system and two 30kW EV fast chargers, this project brings together several innovative elements in one space. It’s also one of the first Current/OS pilot deployments in France—an important step toward the next generation of building energy systems. For that project, we worked in collaboration with VINCI Energies Building Solutions, who led the design. Together, we have demonstrated how buildings can evolve to support the growing demand for distributed energy resources, EV charging, and digital usage. As these needs continue to rise, it’s clear that traditional AC infrastructures are reaching their limits in efficiency and flexibility. Looking ahead, this type of architecture also shows strong potential for data centers, where the need for higher power density and efficiency is driving the shift toward hybrid AC/DC systems. 👏 Congratulations to Nexans, VINCI Energies Building Solutions, and all the partners involved in bringing this vision to life!
