We’re proud to announce the rollout of the Championing NSW Music Policy - a new, Australian‑first initiative designed to elevate the work of NSW musicians and strengthen the sustainability of our state’s creative industries. Over the next six months, this trial Department policy led by our team at Sound NSW will:   ✅ prioritise the use of music created, composed or performed by NSW residents across our agencies and related entities   ✅ introduce a $250 minimum fee for musicians performing at any commercial event which is supported by NSW Government funding - strengthening fair pay and professional conditions across the sector   This initiative lays the foundation for a more equitable landscape for creative professionals and has the potential for future expansion across the NSW Government.   To help government agencies build their knowledge of the talent our state has to offer, we're inviting NSW artists/acts and songwriters to join a database of NSW music professionals.   Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g6-AFAjW   #DCITHS #CultureAtTheHeart #SoundNSW #MusicIndustry Photo: Hayden James by Evan Silverman
