Tennessee currently has multiple Rural Health Transformation Program opportunities open at the same time, with additional funding expected to follow. One of the active programs, the Healthcare Resiliency Program for Health Technology and Innovation (Short-Range), is making $33 million available through multiple awards. What stands out is how the state has structured this funding cycle. Instead of a single, complex application, Tennessee is releasing smaller, focused RFAs tied to specific priorities such as maternal and child health, service line expansion, and technology adoption. This approach makes the process more accessible for rural providers, particularly Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and FQHCs that may not have the capacity for large, multi-phase applications. Applications for this round are due July 27. For organizations in Tennessee evaluating technology or service expansion, this is one worth taking a closer look at. If this is something your organization is considering, now is a good time to start planning. We’re happy to talk through how this might fit into your funding strategy. #ruralhealth #healthcarefunding #grantwriting #telehealth #criticalaccesshospitals
