Helping Engineering & Manufacturing Leaders Accelerate Product Innovation & Digital Engineering Success
Driving to work this morning, my mind was wandering to upcoming weekend plans, which include a double-header Hundred fixture, and it dawned on me that today marks the end of my 50th quarter at Emixa. Back in 2014, Russell Dyer, Allan Blackwell and Kaye Cook gave a young Mechanical Engineering graduate an opportunity. Not sure my hair has changed all that much since then (although at least sometimes its shorter...) but at least I've repaired my chipped front tooth... π Fast forward 12Β½ years, and I still have the privilege of working with our design and manufacturing customers, helping them achieve measurable business outcomes through technology, supported by the right processes and best practices. What started with a focus on a small part of the Siemens portfolio has grown into something much bigger. Not that we didn't already have a seriously experienced (other than me!) team back then, but today we have exceptional technical leaders across the entire Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, SAP, Mendix, Data & Analytics, Integrations and Management Consulting teams. That combination means we can help customers not only implement these joined-up technologies but also manage the organisational change needed to realise their full value. Having worked closely with our new CEO, Jan Kritz, over the past couple of months, I'm genuinely excited about where we continue to head. If the last 50 quarters have taught me anything, it's that we're constantly investing, evolving and becoming a more global and collaborative team. I think the next 50 quarters are going to be even more exciting. A huge thank you to Mark Parry, my colleagues, customers and partners who have been part of that journey. I've been fortunate to work with some brilliant people along the way. Can anyone spot any other familiar faces from the photo at "Solid Edge University" 12 years ago?? We're still running what is now Digital University today, this time across a number of venues over the coming weeks. If you're interested in practical insights, best practice and seeing what's possible across digital engineering and manufacturing, please sign up. It would be great to catch up with familiar faces and meet some new ones too. https://lnkd.in/e9AaiQVr Anyway... here's to the next chapter. P.S. If you're feeling that your current engineering software, PLM, ERP or wider digital engineering approach isn't delivering what you need, we'd love to have a conversation. There may be opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and unlock more value than you think...
