November 10th 2025 was the 30th anniversary of the judicial murder of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight other innocent campaigners from the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP). In this article I share my memories of working directly with Ken during my time with The Body Shop. And as the world immerses itself in yet another festival of double-speak at #COP30, I also pose some serious questions about what the last three decades tell us about the role of Shell and the rest of the #fossilfuels industry then and now.
