This summer I had the incredible opportunity to intern in Richmond, Virginia with Eagle Construction of VA as an Assistant Project Manager. Over the course of the internship, I worked on 10 single-family homes and townhomes, gaining firsthand experience in the field of residential building. From coordinating with teams on-site to learning the ins and outs of project management, this experience has given me a much deeper understanding of the construction process and what it takes to bring a community to life. I’m truly grateful to the Eagle Construction team, Bryan Kornblau, Nathan Blinn, Ph.D., AIA, and Matt McKeag for welcoming me and giving me the chance to learn and grow in such a hands-on way. The lessons I’ve taken from this summer will stick with me as I continue to pursue my career in construction and project management.
