Very privileged to be a trustee of Alive to the World, a charity that has got on to Amnesty International’s anti-human-rights blacklist along with such well-known dastardly oppressive reactionaries as the Catholic Bishops Conference, Christians in Parliament, and J.K. Rowling’s rape crisis centre.  I had no idea that we were so important. With enemies like this, who needs friends?   Never heard of us? You probably won’t have done unless you are in education, as we’re a small educational charity not a campaigning group.  One of the things that we like to teach children is always to be truthful about others.  Maybe the Amnesty personnel were brought up to different standards: it’s a pity that a once-great charity has sunk so low.
