A young friend loves saying: "See you at the top." Two days ago, an email landed in my inbox. I will not tell you what it said — not yet. I learnt from the legendary Strive Masiyiwa — my most admired African entrepreneur — that you do not go around exposing your cards. He writes: "There's an old African saying — don't clap your hands in the forest or you might wake a sleeping lion that will end up eating you." So I kept quiet. Strategically. Then this morning, another email arrived. This one I can share. "From over 24,000 applications submitted across all 54 African countries, 100 exceptional businesses have emerged after a rigorous review and judging process." Wow. Just wow. eFiche is among them. Among the ABH 2026 Top 100. I know this is not the grand finale — it is the beginning. But the sheer scale of 24,000 applications from 54 countries tells you something about what it means to be selected. And to think that the company you started from a belief that African patients deserve better — that it stands here — is genuinely mind-blowing. To my team: this is yours. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. You are the architects building Africa's greatest digital healthcare cathedral. To those who worked on the application that got us here, the video shots on weekends— you know who you are. Thank you. As we head into the next round, I carry humility with me. At the inaugural ABH workshop, we were asked what we thought we were there for. One of the choices was "to compete." I did not choose it — not because I am not competitive, but because I believe in simply keeping going, putting in the very best, and learning to improve. So while we are here to win, winning for us will also mean learning, connecting, and growing. It's a great day to be alive. #ABH2026 #AfricaBusinessHeroes #Top100 #eFiche #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #Rwanda #AfricanEntrepreneurship #ItsAfricanTime #ItsOurTime #HealthForAll #StartupAfrica #ProudFounder #TeamWork #BuildingAfrica
