This past summer, I had the opportunity to intern with Eagle Construction of VA as an Assistant Project Manager in Richmond, VA. I contributed to the construction of 8 residential units across two communities and gained valuable first-hand experience in project management—learning not only the technical skills and processes, but also the intangibles that make an effective project manager. A special thank you to Matt McKeag and Nathan Blinn, Ph.D., AIA for giving me this opportunity, and to Marshall Hardy, Sam Taylor, and Jesse Marcinkevich for their mentorship throughout the summer. I’m grateful for the experience and excited to continue growing in the construction industry.
