Jargon Watch -- RUD -> Random Unscheduled Disassembly. An aerospace and military euphemism for an explosion or breakup of a vehicle, usually an airplane or a rocket. I heard Elon Musk refer to the recent explosion of a SpaceX test rocket as a RUD. I hereby claim RUD for use in business. I have certainly experienced my shares of business RUDs.
