👉 🛍 #blackfriday2021 is over! Are traditional sales still attracting people, or are we buying online? 🛍 👈 #blackfriday and #cybermonday are some of the biggest consumerism holidays. 💸 Last year, pandemic caused it to move to the online world. This year's edition showed that we are not giving up on stationary shopping! At dataplace.ai we analyzed 2️⃣ 5️⃣ 4️⃣ #shoppingcenters in Poland to see how traffic changed as a result of a weekend full of promotions. We also compared traffic from the last 12 weeks, so we could really capture the impact of that particular week. Let’s see, what our analysis showed! 🔍🔍🔍 💡 The average traffic over the last 12 weeks was around 24 mln visits in all 254 analyses places, so the increase of traffic over the #blackweek was a +7.2%. 💡 Metropolitan areas noted the biggest changes in traffic. The Shopping Malls with the largest increases included: Atrium Reduta in Warsaw with 102% higher traffic, Galeria Bronowice in Kraków where it increased by 60.3% and Bonarka City Center Kraków with 58.7% increase during the week. 💡 Small cities generally did not gain much in comparison to the week before the Black Week. Traffic in #shoppingmalls on those days was usually average, and sometimes even lower. One of the biggest decreases was noticed in a medium-sized city in southwestern Poland, where traffic dropped by nearly 20%, compared to the previous week. Weaker results in smaller cities do not mean, however, that these are places with worse #salespotential ! Brands used to focus their targets on larger cities for years now, resulting in weaker product availability in other parts of Poland. The noticeable increase in traffic on promotional days in larger cities was, among other, a result of smaller towns residents who drove several dozen kilometers to find a completely different assortment there. This only shows that there is untapped potential in towns. #sales #shopping #analyticsinsight #footfall #locationintelligence #blackfridaysummary #b2b2c #offline #dataanlytics #datapower #blackfridayweekend #locationtechnology #trafficdata
