📈 Taiwan just passed Germany as Mexico's third largest trade partner. Read that again if you build cars for a living. The chips get the headline. The quieter number is in GTAI's own reporting: Phoenix Contact grew 35 percent in Mexico last year, and data centers now make up close to 40 percent of its revenue. Automotive, once its biggest customer, is down to a fifth. Güntner just opened its fifth Mexican plant. Siemens added 300 jobs in Querétaro this April. None of them make a single chip. They make the cooling, the power distribution and the cabinets the racks sit in. Taiwan climbs the ranking on silicon and German suppliers grow on everything wrapped around it. So which side of the corridor reads this as a chip story and which side has quietly stopped selling to carmakers? 🇲🇽🇩🇪 Das Mexiko Dossier
