The Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth started in 2013 as a one-person pilot program. Today, it serves thousands of people a year and helped Dartmouth earn its spot as 6th in the nation for undergraduate entrepreneurship. Now, the center is growing again. Plans include a campuswide accelerator, new hands-on programs, and a partnership with the Technology Transfer Office to connect people with the resources to patent, license, and launch inventions. https://bit.ly/41Wive1 “We don’t want to drift too far from the idea that these are opportunities for students to learn and that we’re bringing in the human perspective, which is increasingly critical, given rapid global development in AI and digital health,” says Dean Madden, vice provost of research. A search is underway for a new leader to help guide the center’s next phase, led by Dean Madden and the chair of the Magnuson Board of Advisors, Andrea Johnson ’91.
